Hi Stuart,
How thick is the bell house plate, and most important, the width of plate, e.g. the distance between the adaptor plates.

It was shorten in a rather simple way using a Dremel rotary tool and a lot of patience  An old piece of a clutch to hold the shaft while making a M12 thread for the clutch nut ! If I should do the Yanmar Enfield conversion today, I would buy the shaft version from Jochen Sommer that is extende...

Needed to use the longer gearbox main shaft to place the engine more to the left to get a better balance in the frame.

Hello Marius,
Welcome to the forum, here are a lot of ideas for diesel conversions.
I have converted an Enfield Bullet using the MD151 engine, perhaps you have seen it already, but it is described shortly here:

It looks quite the way Henry Price is doing diesel conversions, at least in terms of the frame modification and the exhaust pipe.

I seems like the Microlon additive is to do extra lubrication for the pump and injector , see:

Re: New Videos of the Ruggerini Superdream (Hawk)
Hi albert, Your 5th gearing is close to the 4th ( and last ) in my Enfield gearbox, topping at 112 kmh with 3600 rpm. After removing the forced air cooling and released 2.2 kg from the flywheel, the engine pulls faster to topspeed at comparable condition, so I will go for a 22 teeth gearbox sprocket...

Re: New Videos of the Ruggerini Superdream (Hawk)
Hi,
Thank for the videos, the MD151 runs well in my Enfield-Ruggerini build as well.
How much is the engine RPM at 100 kmh ?
Mine does 32 kmh per 1000 rpm, but I will add a higher gearing to lower the rpm and to achieve a bit higher top speed (@ 3600 rpm)
regards, Erik

Re: Build reports
Interesting builds ( small correction on link: http://www.evalbum.com/4780 ), and at first look, it seems easier to realize an electric conversion compared to the alignment of diesel engine, gearbox/converter . And a lot of oil is saved in the transmission line, only final chain or shaft driven need...

I am even more impressed by the Ruggerini MD151 performance after replacing the standard industrial air filter with a KN SU airfilter and after cutting off the flywheel fan part. Top speed of 112 kmh is reached faster and the acceleration is quite improved ( flywheel lost 2 kg :) So ideally the engi...

Congratulation, looks good. Here in Denmark ( 55 latitude North ) we have low temperatures most of the year, so I cut off the cooling fan part of the MD151 flywheel. Vibrations are on the same level as before, but engine revs must easier, flywheel loosed 2.2 kg of weight  Did the oil pump solut...

Nice to see the compostion running
The primary sprocket on my Ruggerini MD151 is machined to fit the 1:5 conus on the engine, it has been running fixed in position for 700 km so far.
A small description is at: https://www.dieselbikeforum.com/view ... =31&t=2599

Re: Interesting donor frame
At this page there is a complete rebuilt of a Kawa GPZ 1000RX:
http://www.gpz1000rx.co.uk/Timeline.html
It seems like the original gearbox is not that hard to chop off and close the hole between crankcase and gearwheels :

Found this build description using a Kawa GPZ 1000 RX frame, which seems to have quite some space available in the open frame ( no downtube ):

Re: Wiring a ruggerini to a Honda superdream
Yes the Ruggerini provides only 2 phase generator output, like many small diesel engines with the alternator built into the flywheel.
I just used an original Yanmar L100 15 Amps rectifier to fit the Ruggerini 2 phase generator output.
