Interesting donor frame

Post by henneberg »

Found this build description using a Kawa GPZ 1000 RX frame, which seems to have quite some space available in the open frame ( no downtube ):

Initially I thought the frame had been widened but it would appear not.
Possibly a non turbo or 3 cyl engine would make installation easier but it's certainly a nice job.
Only one thing I don't see a flywheel??

anyway here's a standard one to compare

That is excellent.

A lot of space in that frame for sure. Especially considering these frames cant really be modified.

I would be interested to see what he has done with the original gearbox/ sealing etc? The pictures dont show that much information :(

the amazing thing to me is that we are just now coming across that build. Hell that build thread is from two thousand and EIGHT.

Where is it? What happened to it?

Is PAK pakistan? That may explain its disappearance sadly.

There is a reference to this bike on a German website called Hofshaller. The sidebar says Dieselfighter but on my tab I could not open a link.
The builder in Pakistan was active on the forum with the build pictures a couplecouple of days ago.

At this page there is a complete rebuilt of a Kawa GPZ 1000RX:

It seems like the original gearbox is not that hard to chop off and close the hole between crankcase and gearwheels  :

Hmm Your right, just the gear from the crank to the clutch basket. Looks like thats what has fabricated with the shaft.

Sounds like the bike was built in Germany and not Pakistan.
