So I finally got some video of the bike on the road. I've put a solid 2000km on the bike with no major failures, although the clutch throw-out bushing is going to be the weak spot. And I will need to get clutch assembly for my primary drive dynamically balanced, which will perhaps mitigate some of the clutch bushing wear.

Real world fuel economy appears to be about 91mpg (imperial). That is driving at 100kmh. Still superfun!

Thank for the videos, the MD151 runs well in my Enfield-Ruggerini build as well.
How much is the engine RPM at 100 kmh ?
Mine does 32 kmh per 1000 rpm, but I will add a higher gearing to lower the rpm and to achieve a bit higher top speed (@ 3600 rpm)

Hi erik . In 5th gear at 100 kmh I'm at about 3300rpm but when conditions are right I can run 100kmh in 6th gear at 2800.
I messed up my math when buying my primary drive sprockets and ended up with taller gearing than I wanted but I think I will leave it alone. I like the option to loaf in top gear or to have the extra speed to pass down a hill. The engine has such a wide powerband that I have never wished for closer gearing at lower speeds. Plus I like having the option to run 100kmh at higher rpm for hills or headwinds.
Btw theoretical top speed in 5th gear at 3600rpm is 108kmh. In 6th gear it is 128 kmh.
The engine will pull slight hills in 6th gear at 100kmh when there is no wind. Pretty much any headwind and I'm down to 5th gear though.

After removing the forced air cooling and released 2.2 kg from the flywheel, the engine pulls faster to topspeed at comparable condition,
so I will go for a 22 teeth gearbox sprocket instead of the 21er in there now.
btw which kind of clutch bush are you using now ?

I would insert a pic of the bushing but my tapatalk doesn't like it very much. It is about 2" long and about 3mm wall thickness. It must be made of something soft because it rides around the hard shiny transmission shaft but within the aluminum clutch basket. And it is designed to allow movement between the basket and the bushing.
I have pondered going for free air cooling as it must cost significant power to move all that air. However my engine is oriented such that all the injector pumps etc are in front and right in the way of road debris. Maybe it be an issue.
I don't think I would lighten the flywheel at all though...my primary drive chain slaps enough as it is and I don't want to do anything to increase the strength of the power pulses.
