If you make a bike using a Ural / Dnepr in-line gearbox, you're stuck with the kickstart poking out to the left. This can be inconvenient if you intend to attach a LH sidecar - it's OK-ish with the standard low-compression petrol engine, but not good at all once ah diesel unit is employed.
