Royal Enfield Yanmar clone FS in Michigan
I have a Royal Enfield with a yanmar clone, electric start diesel for sale in Michigan. It is fully titled and plated in Michigan. I thought I would put it here first. It will go on eBay next week. $5000.

Re: Finally Finished but can't register in Michigan, any ideas?
Legal! I registered as a new assembled bike. Two days in the DMV but it is titled and plated! Now I might have to sell to aid my business! I guess I could start another? I have a 1959 RE frame...

Re: Finally Finished but can't register in Michigan, any ideas?
I found an old frame locally that is a 69 or there about. I think the hassle then becomes getting a scrap title and moving everything over to the old frame

Re: Finally Finished but can't register in Michigan, any ideas?
Their quote was $895! I think I could buy a salvaged bike to swap frames for that price.

Finally Finished but can't register in Michigan, any ideas?
I finally finished my Enfield yamar clone after 7 years! I bought the bike without an engine from a guy online. He took my money and then imported a bike from India without a US title. I didn't think it was that big a deal but now our Secretary of State says it is impossible to register in Michigan....

yanmar clone erratic running
I finally (after 8 years) have my yanmar clone Royal Enfield build running. The engine runs in spurts. I don't know if it is just because it hasn't run in years or because it has run in total for less than an hour but it hesitates and then runs. Any ideas?

Re: turning off a Yanmar clone
Thanks. I rigged a lever and it worked. Not really pretty but it works. Thanks.

Yanmar clone alternator
How does the alternator mount? It is on the flywheel but where does it mount? It looks like the magets spin on the outside and the stator somehow mounts to the engine block but I am not seeing it. Can someone help?

Royal Enfield clutch mainshaft nut
I am looking for a Royal Enfield clutch mains haft nut. I went to order but they were backordered. It looks like about 14mm but I couldn't find it locally. Is that a weird thread?

Re: turning off a Yanmar clone
Thanks. Do you have a picture that shows this mounted to the engine. I guess I would love to see how you connected this to the lever on the engine.

turning off a Yanmar clone
How do you shut down a Yanmar clone. I built a RE yanmar clone but the throttle is buried now. How do I shut the thing down?

Inner primary mount on a Enfield/yanmar
I am mounting the inner primary and was wondering how to line up the motor precisely so as to be able to use the alternator. It seems that if you are off, you will be doomed mounting the alt.

Okay I have the extended shaft and inner cover. Sommer did a good job and about the same cost as indiabike. How do I remove the gear on the end of the mainshaft? It seems, from the parts manual that it is just pressed on with another piece pressed before the gear and a washer or inner oil slinger? D...

I ordered through indiabikes but the wire transfer never got into their account so I ordered through Sommer. Lots less hassle, don't have my money back from India but Sommer will have my parts here next week. I am starting to tear the transmission apart to be ready to install the new shaft. I am sur...

yanmar clone and Royal Enfield options
I am wondering if anyone had comments on the yanmar clone and a Royal enfield Bullet. I have both, and I started to weld the mount for the engine with the "Riding on Salad oil" version. I don't have the extended shaft or the chain case. Any ideas where I can purchase? I am ready to roll. I...
