Re: Gear Ratio Ranges of two different CVT's

CVT situation "A" gives the widest ratio ....In my way of thinking should be the best. Diesels need lots of gears to use their torque band effectively. The rear sprocket ratio should be able to adjust for size of engine and max speed. Question is if tuning of the CVT to the diesel RPM rang...

Re: Winsun, Punsun Reliablity? Availability?

I just got a shipment of Winsun 13hp and vtwin 22 hp engines. They're listed on my website a1biofuel.net at very reasonable prices. About reliability ..... Two years ago there was a problem with broken cranks. That was due to irregular steel quality and improper hardening processes. Winsun has chang...

Bearnyc,
Thanks for the tips on how you mounted rubber isolators on a v-twun engine.
What kind of results did you get?
Are they resistant to oil?

Re: Hills, hills, hills

Try the A1biofuel.net website.
They have a lot of good information there.
They are out of their main stock, but they may
have an oddball V-Twin Punsun or Winsun laying
around that you can get.

BearHawk, That's good info about Marshall's being a distributor of IBC CVT's ..... Thanks. I emailed IBC-Tech several times over a year ago and got no reply. I was resigned to trying to call them ... but never did. I'm the guy selling the Pusnsun and Winsuns on A1biofuel.net and have several custome...

Coachgeo ..... Thanks!
How simple ..... I'm so ashamed I didn't think of it.
Just simply ask.
I did learn something new ..... all the chain primaries and
clutches are wet bath. They run in oil.
I've decided that in the interest of simplicity that I'll go
to route of a belt drive and dry clutch.

I need help selecting a Harley/Ultima Gearbox and related hardware. I have a Suzuki GS1000L that I want to outfit with a Punsun 25hp V-twin and a Ultima type gearbox. Re: New battery, cables, and starter switch.

Sam, It might just be the regulator that has died ..... not to worry. The regulator uses a little power even if it is doing nothing ... so taking it out will give your system a little more available power These 10 amp systems are so weak that you may be better off with no regulator at all ..... simp...

Thanks BoxerOtto, I guess I'd better get my butt in gear on my website. I'm brand new to html editing so all my stuff is crude. Industrial Vibration Isolators

Industry commonly uses standard "Vibration Isolators" to mount motors in industrial settings. They should be relatively cheap and replaceable.
