Bike Stolen!
Hello friends, I know some of you have jumped into the frey on Facebook and I appreciate you efforts more than you will ever know. I thought I would post a picture of the bike for those not on facebook at this time. It was stolen Sunday evening between 7:30pm and 11:30pm in Cheltenham from the gated...

Re: 2012 *HAMM* International Diesel Motorbike Rally
Ok boys, The plan is coming together. My tent, sleeping bag, and LuxuryLite cot are on their way here from the States. I'll strap that bit of kit to my trusty, albiet petrol powered, K75S and join you all at Hamm! I also plan to flesh out the kit with a weekend on the Isle of Man, and a trip from La...

Re: Hello from Chicagoland and Cheltenham UK!
If you have to ask........... It's a tad over 200 quid including food and cabin fees but this does save me the cost of 2 overnight stops elsewhere. You do have a 200 mile trek from Cheltenham to Harwich but the ferry departs 11pm. Round trip or each way? Round trip doesn't sound too bad. One way is...

Re: Hello from Chicagoland and Cheltenham UK!
If time off work is a problem Willy, then you could always join us on the expensive overnight ferry Thurs night returning Sunday night in time for work on Monday morning. Only 200 miles from the ferry to the campsite, 3-4 hours depending on traffic and stops. THAT WOULD BE AWESOME! How much is the ...

.... .. apply compressed air to the nozel then go & retrieve the piston from the other side of the workshop, fill with grease & replace piston. You will find that it allways comes out clean as the pump shuts off the hole. hmm... not having one in my hand to look at.... hard to picture this....

Re: Busted Bolts - A few tips on removing them
Nice write up Stuart! Another bit of kit in my screw assault weponry is a good set of left hand drill bits. Very often the heat from drilling coupled with the torque applied in the direction of removal backs the offending screw shank right out. Sometimes it does not...

Re: Mini lathe
At the risk of resurrecting an old thread, I have owned both, imported Chinese and Italian lathes and vintage stuff. An old tool room lathe will give you MUCH better mileage but the cheaper modern units can be made to work. Something special about turning handles on an old bit of classic iron. You c...

Aye that'd be me! I loved the rally. My first ever of the sort. And i'm going to try and do more of these. And not just for the bailey's. That's GREAT! I realized on my ride home that I'd just had dinner with someone and I couldn't remember their name, how embarrassing. Oh well, I'm glad you helped...

There is a thread here and video on the bike. Search "KLR" At last check the bike would only do about 45mph. It is being worked on by "Curtis in TX" to bring it's standard little higher. According to Curtis it looks promising. Know the first person on the list with money in hand...
