Re: Yanclone + dnepr frame + exhausts

 Heatshields etc are ok when driving but what about stopping (trafficlights etc). Must sit down (again) on the bike and do some serious thinking. Now, unmodifed frame, exhausts are some 2" away from kneecaps. After tight turns + frame extended cap might still be that 2". tahanks for ...

Yanclone + dnepr frame + exhausts

After some thinking and preliminary fittings I find it difficult to mount yanclone to dnepr frame lenghtwise without excessive surgery. Exhausts points directly to my kneecaps. :x Frame will be cut and have some extra lenght but still it is too darn close. How have others solved this? I´d like to ke...

I´ve seen&used snowmobiles with reverse-neutral-drive lever, sometimes 1 & 2 different forward "gears". Anyone ever isntalled such a system to shaftdriven bike? Other way around is to use customised Aixam/Microcar/.. transmission. But space is the issue, they are too bulky for my b...

Re: Chang jiang 750 solo

It´s quite simple and straightforward job. Few wires must cut/take away, ie wires for sidecar lights, and then mainly just unbolting mountings (4 of them) You´ll need some supports under sidecar since it will tip over if not supported propery after loosing mountings + bike itself will also tip over ...

I´m about to go that foam"power"filter, olied, path. Must anyway either manufacture new intake or rip whole yanclone intakehose system away and it looked better without it. Definetly I won´t gain anything else than the looks by using those "power"filters. Still wondering w...

Re: Adding altenator to yanclone

Altenator tends to fail if connected directly to consupmtion. Needs battery to even the load. Some heavy duty diodeswitches might work (assmilated from motorhomes/boats) Secondary plan is to have small motorbikebattery run by original altenator to handle some funny extras not so important to driving...

Adding altenator to yanclone

Have ideas having (car)altenator installed to my build, but still having the original system left in use. Two batteries would be the easy way, but how to connect original + new to a same battery? There should be some kind of diode or some other electric components beacuse otherwise unit/controller n...

just looked after vehicles salvaged by insurance companies. Re: Trikes to consider for diesel transplants

Yup. Must look after wrecked bikes. The older the better.
Or just make one with modern tech and register it as it was new.
These pollution regulations within Eu are drag.

Other way around is to modify factorymade trike to diesel (=easiest way but also most expensive)

Re: Trikes to consider for diesel transplants

8) that´s my next project - dieseltrike with "french touch" preferably with automatic gearbox.

Too bad our local laws are kind of a set of no-no´s to a self builder. Must have 50% or more from original bike and build is "easy".
But time will show.

Re: uneven running

lubrication leaks inside engine to cylinder/injectionpump causes symtomps just like that. More common with turboed diesels whee turbo´s seals broke and it sucks oil to intake.

There might also be poor/blocked breathing hoses.

Re: Clutch Servo

You´ll need some sort of independent servosystem, unless engine is always stopped gear on neutral. Clutch shold be operable without help from engine. If not You´ll face some serious problems trying to operate it with engine stopped ang gear on.. Unless You can jank to neutral without it.
