The Aixam is the only one which uses the Kubota diesel engine.
Microcar used to use the Lombardini diesel but this was dropped in favour of a petrol version therefore the only transmission suitable for diesel bikes is from an Aixam.
My CVT was made in Canada but without taking the bike apart I can't confirm the numbers and I believe it came from an early Aixam.
I would suggest if you want more info you look at the aixam and microcar group on yahoo groups.
It's a UK group and plenty of info can be had there as most owners do their own maintenance.
