New toy
Been a bit occupied with my new toy of late so please excuse. Just need to get the fork seals done and then it's an MOT test for the road. Nice to experience the desmo engine even if it is a '97 one.

My neighbour has one with a dry clutch, people are always asking him if his bike is broken '92 Enfield + Hatz 1B40: street legal, weld up stainless exhaust, check engine rpm and change final drive sprocket.

The dry clutches sound loud don't they? Anyway, this bike has a quiet clutch

I ended up having to do the fork seals myself today after the mechanic got ill. Good thing really - saved a few quid
Done them both but only one side was leaking. Tube was scored a bit. I managed to polish the grooves out, just. Phew!
Homemade stand works well
There was a loud knocking when I rode the bike which turned out to be the front mudguard clouting the tyre. Turns out the fixing screws/holes had been drilled out at some time. I had to press fit 3x M6 bushes in the end to sort it.
Brembo brake parts coming next week from the US. Then it's strip the calipers and refurb those..
All in all, quite an enjoyable day

How Funny!
I have a 95 Elefant and it has the same leaky forks.
I polished out one and never got around to finishing the other one. So here it sits waiting patiently.
It has the noisy dry clutch, and I have to laugh at the expressions I get from people when I start it in a crowd of bikes.
It also has the 900 Desmo. Fun toy, but a pain to work on.
Like the Old saying goes.

You are right there! I got my bike through a road worthiness test yesterday so I am happy now
