Cockney Bobs litany
I would just like to say that Cockney Bobs speech is spot on. As a male teacher I fully understand some of those woes. Whilst I agree in spirit with our more liberal minded peers about certain issues, I cant escape the feeling that the free love and peace message of the sixties has somehow been perv...

so if i understand this correctly. If i added a butterfly valve similar to a car or motorcycle it would help to slow me down more effectively. I imagine installing it just behind the air intake would be best. wouldnt that then require 2 throttle cables? one to the engine and one to the butterfly val...

The fan/impeller necessary or not?
I will admit that I am a complete newbie when it comes to diesel engines. I can do basic maintenance on a petrol, but have no experience with diesels. My main interest is to make a biodiesel bike which is why I am here. To improve my learning curve. So this might be a dumb question. It looks like th...

What is engine stop?
So I have been reading lots about diesel bikes, and trying to get a handle on performance. Something that keeps coming up is engine stop on a diesel bike. My guess is that unlike a petrol, when you throttle off, the bike doesnt necessarily slow down that much. For example when you come to stop light...

Neander turbo diesel
After having read about the neander turbo diesel a few month ago http://www.neander-motors.com/[url] It wasnt until today that I realized that the GODDAMN FACTORY IS IN MY CITY!! I am an English teacher living in Kiel. I was teaching a bunch of engineers and asking about diesel motorcycles, and one ...

The only reason I want to try and build a diesel bike is so I can run it on biodiesel. Im hoping that using b20 (which you can buy at the pump here in Queensland) will give me an advantage when it comes to the emissions test. Thanks for the heads up on the 650, you cant see the shaft from the photos...

bike / frame to use and motor feedback
Some people have said that a harley frame is good to use, except that I can never find a rolling chassis thats within my price range. What do people think of using a Yamaha xvs250 (maybe 650 for more space). In Australia it would be much easier to find one of these cheap 2nd hand or at the wreckers....

Australian registration issues
I was wondering if anybody could give me the skinny on registering diesel bikes in Oz. My current situation is that I am limited to the 250cc petrol class of motorbike. my thoughts are that the performance of a 400 to 800cc diesel is fairly equivalent to a 250cc petrol in terms of speed etc. so I se...

kipor diesel engines (feedback please)
I know there are a few bikes out there with kipor engines. How do they compare to hatz and the punsun? Im a little doubtful of some of the figures the kd2v86f produces 16hp @ 3600 rpm but only has a dry weight of 65 kg and is roughly the same size as the hatz id81 and id90. If they prove to be relia...
