Re: Punsun HD chopper
Finally got the motor in and running. Actually seems to vibrate less than the rubber mounted Punsun. Maybe this Longfar has better balance.
I need to finish the primary.

Re: Punsun HD chopper
Klondike_kid that is my kind of bike! I do want to put a turbo on it...once I have it moving again. It was reasonable fast off the line before(rideable) and could do over 80MPH(plenty fast on a chopper). Side load bearing is a good idea. In the long run maybe a Japanese motor is even better... I jus...

Re: Punsun HD chopper
Finally getting around to putting the pig back together. "Iron_Monkey" the adjustments I referred to were just changing the fueling screw. Nothing extreme, just adjusted for smoke. The Punsun died due to the crank splitting in HALF right in the middle. I forgot to take a pic of it, but wil...

Punsun parts??
Does anyone have a way to order a Punsun crank? Strange Asian websites have left me stumped. I am also interested in a complete Punsun motor if anyone has one that could be shipped to NYC USA or within a reasonable distance that I could go pick it up....
Help is most appreciated.

Re: Punsun HD chopper
After 3 years I thought I would post a follow up. Yes...I did eventually add a front brake. I rode it for a few thousand miles and enjoyed the frame cracking in half on the top tube under the tank and both supports we welded in the "Y" section between the motor and transmission. We used th...

These folks came by to get some B100 biodiesel for their Greaves powered Enfield that they imported from India.
They are shooting video of people in the area speaking about climate change while traveling two up on the bike.

It seems this is a new bike(not the Monster Diesel).
Here's another link to some press about it(this one mercifully doesn't use the word "first" anywhere):

I received word about something that I am NOT involved in, but wanted to share the info. I personally find their statements that this is the "world's first" of any sort to be questionable. I AM still happy to hear about anyone making diesel bikes. Below is the text I was forwarded... Cima ...

wanted-Punsun flywheel for lightening
Hi All...My Punsun doesn't seem to want to explode, so it's time to start modifying it! Does anyone have an extra flywheel for one of these lumps they'd like to sell? I'm not sure exactly which Punsun I have, and if there are any differences between them for flywheels. If anyone knows about that ple...

Baker transmission
Finally got the Baker "6 into 4" transmission into the bike. The previous aftermarket HD transmission was a 4 speed made by Motor Factory. It was fraught with issues, including kickstart gears that would shred themselves(even with the gas HD motor). The only argument I can think of against...

I'm sure most US residents interested in biodiesel know about this already, but I thought I'd add it to this thread. The NBB's website site a list of retail biodiesel sites on their website under "buying biodiesel" http://www.biodiesel.org/ Best to call first because they're not always up ...

Fantastic bike! Managed to stick my foot in my primary one day while reaching for the kickstand...Redwing makes a fine product. I was fine(but humbled), but wrecked the belt and the rear pulley. Pricey stuff it's true!

"dieselbikin" I have to say MANY THANKS for the link in the thread above. I finally got around to performing the adjustments described in the thread in your post. It worked like a charm. The bike only smokes if you really crank it open quickly now. There's plenty of power for riding, now I...

Here's a pic of the "head steady". Motor rocks forward and back, but not side to side, keeping the belt alignment ok.
