Boat fares Europe <-> UK

I may need to do a quick return trip to Manchester from Holland. Can anyone recommend a good site to check tariffs for multiple ferry lines? I guess my best option would be crossing Dunkerque to Dover vv. but maybe someone else has a "good value" tip.

Hi Dan, thanks for the tip.

I guess Stenaline reckons I have "DENSE" painted across my forehead, as they would like to relieve me of 270 euro for Hoek van Holland - Harwich v.v. while Duinkerken - Dover with Norfolkline is seemingly happy to transport me back and forth for 43 quid. Sure, it would take me another 300km one way, but that is still OK.

Any laws prohibiting bringing fuel in a small jerrycan in the boot? Or on the boat? I have one of those wonderful new orange ING cards that are supposedly skim-proof. The minute downside is that it doesn't work in ATMs outside of Holland rendering it utterly useless. At least that's the happy story plasted across the internet.

I usually carry spare fuel in the car. Never know when the french will go on strike
It is often 5 litres, but I have also carried 10 litres and in times of stress 20 litres. Never been asked about it.
It is one reason why I like to have a bike/car with enough range to get me home.

Norfolkline is the way to go, it's always the lowest fare. I always use them.
It does take longer to get there; I think the engines are running at their most fuel efficient speed.
