Hello all,
I feel I know some of you from reading the forum and lurking in the shadows. I joined to tap into the wealth of knowledge and perhaps someday have something to contribute. I'm from the Missouri Ozarks, grew up on a farm, speak with an IQ reducing drawl, and have had motorcycles all of my life. I am currently working in Portland, Oregon and get laid off from my job every Thursday. They come back the following Monday and assign more work, heckuva deal. I was in the middle of converting an old Cushman scooter to diesel, when I won a late night bid on ebay for an old Enfield diesel. (margaritas and ebay are a dangerous combination) I had to explain it all to my wife the next morning. I now have two concurrent projects. The Cushman is a 1947 and is an easy fix, nearly a minibike with a slight hormone problem. I have a new 6 HP Mellga/Yanmar clone that will fit in place of the Briggs and Stratton. The Enfield is a 1970 Indian bike with a R/H 5 speed, electric start Greeves. It is what we call in the Ozarks a 50 footer, it looks great from 50 feet away, but turns ugly as you get closer. If I break any of the forum rules or protocols, please kindly point me in the right direction.
Thanks,
Don

Enfield diesel should fit well in the stable with a diesel cushman.
Look forward to you sharing your knowledge gained along the way as well as your questions where others share their knowledge with all of us.
