You don't have a comet 500.
On yours the distance should be 8 3/16 inches or nearly 208mm.

I know what I have. A bad chinese copy of the COMET 40. And I want to know wheter I could use yours, I would buy it in from you but you woud have to tell me the shaft distance so I can see whether it is in the range of what I can modify.

I have no connection to the link I posted it was just to show sizes.
I don't think you can fit a 500 belt to a 40 series as the sizes are different.
Your centres need to be 208mm apart to fit a standard belt. It's possible if your belt is too slack you are getting slip which will cause wear in the belt.

I know all that. And I told you that I can modify the distance within limits. But I and anybody who want to buy your Comet 500 has to know for what shaft distance meant. If you dont want to give this information, nobody will buy converter. I can not find the belt number on you picture in the net, I found this only: https://www.gokartsupply.com/tcbelts.htm
Why do you want to keep this information secret?

Hello, I'm the seller. I did a quick center to center and it was approximately 9.5".
