Re: My Honda CB750 diesel project
Took a short illegal trip on the road today to test high speed.......I reach 100kmh on the short strip i rode. It seems it has potential for reaching 110-120 kmh.

Update of my project.
Today I have put on locktite on the nuts and bolts for the CVT and drive train and put on new front fender and luggage rack. Holder for side bags comes next.

Can you shoot some of the CVT side please. Want to see how much it sticks out. What CVT did you use again?Bj-torb wrote:Update of my project.

Re: My Honda CB750 diesel project
The cvt is from a microcar. It sticks exactly out as much as the foot peg.

Real nice looking bike. The Lombardini is a nice looking engine. Would love to see pic of other side too. Also some info on how you made your CVT cover

Hi,
Looking nice. After seeing the pictures at https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set ... df53953a60 I can imagine the great effort to realize your project.

Re: My Honda CB750 diesel project
Update on my Honda diesel project.
It is now Honda Turbo Diesel.
Drove about 100km today with my newly installed turbo. Tuned the diesel flow so now it goes good. I recon I will improv it further but for now it's ok. The top speed has improved only by 5km but it pulls strong and the engine goes much smoother than befor. Next thing to do is changing rear sprocket to get higher crushing speed.

Re: My Honda CB750 diesel project
What Turbo did you use? Love to see pics of the plumbing etc. What kind of Pressure(s) were you shooting for with the Turbo and what are you getting?
Re: My Honda CB750 diesel project
The turbo i used was a RHB 32 but I had to remove it because I found a crack in the turbine house. So I have been now driving without a turbo this summer. But 3 weeks ago I got a brand new one that fits better to the engine. A RHB 31 that they use on yanmar engine. That's what the ad said. Now it is put on the bike and you can almost not see it. It's so small and nice
Have not been able to test it yet because of snow and ice.

Re: My Honda CB750 diesel project
Wow that is a compact turbo. Where do you get it's oil feed source and plumb the return? My apologies if you posted that previously. Have not been in this thread in a while.Bj-torb wrote:The turbo i used was a RHB 32 but I had to remove it because I found a crack in the turbine house. Re: My Honda CB750 diesel project
I have put on a T joint where the oil pressure switch is to feed the turbo. Got that idea from Heiko Fleck,s turbo Triumph with Lombardini engine. The return goes in to one of the two oil drain plug on the side of the oil pan.
