CAD Drawings who has them

Post by freefuel »

I'm starting with nothing so, I'm looking to put togeather a collection of drawings for both stock gasser and diesel bell patterns. during this quest I'm interested to see how the V-twin Yanmar type diesel will fit in a BMW R100 frame, or other simalar type shaft driven bike.

Unfortunately you will find this a world of prototypes with not too many drawings floating about.
You may have more luck mating an engine to the shaft drive K series Beemers ;)

Stuart, Thank you for the tip about the K series bikes. what year range were/are they? BMW is not my strong point for nugets of knowledge.

as for the drawings situation yeah this seems to be a common theame with Volkswagen and Jeeps too. :( especially when trying to mix and match parts.

on a different note, it might be fun to work up a bellhousing for the Type 2 VW to take an industrial pattern diesel like the now all too common Kabota refer unit pulls.

Offhand I'm not sure about year range. Best bet is ask Mr Google or Miss WiKi? ;)
I don't think the basic design changed much. From gearbox to engine is 130mm approx and is the same if Polo engine is used.

I've been searching grabcad and CNCzone for drawings, other then further refining questions for Mr. Google, and Mrs Wiki. Where else to look for currently availble drawings?

I have a plan for a Kubota V2203 poweed bike with a short Jeep T90 style transmisstion, and automotive read diff used as both a stressed frame member and it's tubes for rear swing arm piviots. would be nice to have a full suspensin on a bike this large.
