YanClone L100 fuel pump
My clone engine (186F) were intended for a generator.
I need to have lower idle speed (about 1300 rpm), now i have 2300 rpm. From what i read so far i will need to change my fuel pump. Dos anybody know what model and where can i get one in USA.

This particular one it is for generator use (consistent speed). I need this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/REPLACEMENT-F ... 3869601%26, but they don't ship to USA.alexanderfoti wrote:You will need something like this:

Oh aplogoies, I didnt know they made a different version!
Do you know what the mechanical difference is between this one and one for generator use?
I would be happy to drop ship to america for you if you cant find one in your area.

Re: YanClone L100 fuel pump
I will keep an eye out, I have ordered one so I will see if it helps, I cannot get the idle lower than 1400 rpm or so.
If you cant find in the US, my offer of shipping one across for the cost of shipping is still there if you need it.

How low you want to go? I am asking, because you can't go to low, you will loose lubrication (the oil pump in the engine likes high rpm to produce pressure).alexanderfoti wrote:I will keep an eye out, I have ordered one so I will see if it helps, I cannot get the idle lower than 1400 rpm or so.

My need it is below 1800 rpm, because of the clutch (engages at 2000).

Re: YanClone L100 fuel pump
about 800-1000.
Thats odd, as I had an oil pressure gauge on mine, and right from about 400 rpm it produces very very good oil pressure (60 psi +)
Aha, I only want it so the idle isnt silly when sitting around in traffic.

Re: YanClone L100 fuel pump
I am using this engine on a racing kart, that is why i need a idle speed around 1500 rpm, so the engine don't die if, lets say i spins out. Let me know how your pump worked, and maybe we can work a way to me get one from you.

But like a told you, they don't ship to USA. I don't have the exactly model number, so i can check here also. Looking for "fuel pump for variable speed" didn't bring anything.

Re: YanClone L100 fuel pump
I received it today, and the engine ran at full rpm untill I hit the decompression lever, gave me a bloody fright.
Any ideas what I haveb done wrong, the old pump going back in also does the same thing now
