Introducing the Gluppity Glup, Turbo Diesel Hybrid Electric.

Post by Brent Hasty »

The Glupity Glup Gets Its Fuel Tank, My Turbo Diesel Hybrid Electric Motorcycle, 1982 Honda CM 450 Based. This is a 3 chamber fuel tank, the two side chambers are about 3 gallons each for diesel, and the center tank is about 2 gallons for the aquamist liquid intercooler water/alcahol ADI watler injection.... It has a 5hp permanent magnet motor, lipo4 2kwh battery, and exhaust waste heat recovery using peltier junction thermocouples.

See it on youtube: search gluppity glup and watch it grow.

Great build Brent :D You are taking energy saving to the max with all that electrical kit to add. Be interested to see how much power is generated from the exhaust heat and extra thing on the exhaust end. Thanks for posting :D

Brent,
Love the ingenuity. I just spent a couple hours looking at all the contraptions you've built and I'm so impressed. Your website, YouTube, and here. I've seen your Diesel 240Z on Craigslist for a while, and the Gluppity Glup, and never knew they were from the same guy. You've also built scooter trikes just like plans that I've drawn up. You are actually doing all the stuff that I go to sleep at night dreaming about. I get it. I more than get it, I'm inspired.

I am currently researching my diesel bike build and saving up funds for the project. I do have a lot of elements working against me, but it will happen someday. Once I get the thing on the road, I will be inviting myself down to your shop to show it off. Might be a few years.

Great work!
