Diesel trike for sale cheap
As some of you know, I had to convert my diesel motorcycle to a trike due to health problems. Although I can no longer ride traditional motorcycle s, I've found out I can ride a scooter. I just purchased a 2005 Honda Reflex and am in love. I think my dieselbikin days are over. With that being said I...

Re: Trike conversion
Getting very close to my goal. Been lightening to pucks to slow the up shift. My RPMs are finally getting close to 3600. Next run will be with 5/1 ratio. Re: Trike conversion
My best trike run so far. My goal is 50 mph top speed. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the fastest run would be one in which the final drive and shifting of the CVT was such that the engine stayed at its 3600 rpm horsepower peak? My RPMs never get past 3300, so I'm wondering if there's a little more le...

Re: Trike conversion
Finally got to make some test runs. Since bike weighs more and is less aerodynamic I figured I would try some tuning. Re: Trike conversion
Here's a grainy video of my bike and my latest result. Top speed has dropped off with my shorter tires. My max rpm reached is 3200 and my CVT is fully shifting according to my sharpie line on the driver. I've lost 5 mph and not sure how to get it back. [URL=http://i488.photobucket.com/albums/rr249/d...

Re: Trike conversion
My cub cadet axles ate too short so I'm making new ones. I'm also rebuilding the rear framework to accommodate dual rear disks via kart rotors and Suzuki katana calipers. Hopefully I'll hav pics in a week or so. Forever waiting on parts.

I've finally got my cub diff and axles. The axles are shorter than I'd like, but I'll make the best of it. Just waiting on parts as usual. Differential options for trikes
I've been poking around for cheap, plentiful, and compact, light duty differentials for my diesel trike. So far the best option I've found are Ford pinto and Dana 30 for fully enclosed shaft drive applications. For an open chain drive like I'm using a cub cadet or IH cub works well. As best I can te...

Re: Trike conversion
I've been searching for a compact differential solution for quite awhile. So far the best I've found are from garden tractors. I'm hoping to win a diff with axle on eBay. Cub Cadet has been the best vale so far. The set up I'm trying to buy is a two piece diff with 30mm axles. This is the preferred ...

The peerless has already failed, but I think my bearing support was inadequate. I've built a much stronger structure for the next one.

Re: Trike conversion
Trying to put a rear brake together. Was adapting a Honda Civic brake , but going back to original Suzuki rear. Since I didn't make a integral chain adjuster, I'll be making a chain tensioner. Now that I have a "smart" phone I can log my data with gps. [img] [IMG]http://i488.photobucket.co...

Re: Trike conversion
Well I'm street legal again. Went riding yesterday. Only quirk is that it pulls somewhat to the left because the axle is 3 inches off center. May put a wheel spacer on short side. I was going to use the sprocket as my brake disk but I don't have enough room. Trying to use a Honda Civic disk from ano...

Trike conversion
Now that I'm partially paralyzed,I need more stability, so I'm converting my bike into a trike. My design is simple and relatively cheap. My only concern is the durability of the 1" axle peerless 100 differential. It is rated for the weight and hp, but probably not the speed or tire diameter I ...

Re: Disibility mods for bike
Today was bitter sweet. I was riding around the yard when the wife came outside looking non too happy about my shanagens. So as I ride into the garage I laid it over to the left, my bad side, and my left foot was locked onto the foot peg. I didn't get hurt , but she was upset. Needless to say I can'...

Re: Disibility mods for bike
I think it's ready to go, I've made a modified foot peg the won't let my foot fall off. As long as I lean right when I stop il be alright. It's ugly , but once I get my plasma cutter going I'll make something nicer. Thanks. [URL=http://s649.photobucket.com/user/dieselbikin1/media/Mobile%20Uploads/0A...

Disibility mods for bike
I haven't said much about it, but the reason I've been out of the loop so long is that I'm recovering from a brain tumor. I was completely paralyzed on my left side; however I'm slowly recovering. I'm at the point I can get on the bike when its on the center stand. Once onboard I can balance the bik...
