Differential options for trikes

I've been poking around for cheap, plentiful, and compact, light duty differentials for my diesel trike. So far the best option I've found are Ford pinto and Dana 30 for fully enclosed shaft drive applications. For an open chain drive like I'm using a cub cadet or IH cub works well. As best I can tell they come in one and two piece carriers with two piece being the strongest. Coarse/fine spline axles in 1"/30mm diameters. The strongest setup is fine spline with 30 mm axles. This is what the garden tractor pullers prefer and has stood up to as much as 60hp. A coarse 1" axle should do fine in a 10 hp ya clone application.
