Enfield w. subframe fit for yanclone, can i swap engine?

Post by arnaud »

Dear folks..
I had purchased a brand new Weima 192 engine, which delivered good performance but ran itself into destruction within 300km's.
The dealer, Grünwelt from Germany then 'suddenly' doesn't give any warrantee (But states 2 years warrantee) and also is not willing, or capable of selling me the parts to repair the engine.

The subframe is welded into the enfield bullet frame, the mounting holes fit for a yanclone engine, also that the exact positioning of the drive shaft is compliable with the distance and angle to the clutch (which is dictated by the inner primary case).

Now, my question;
Could it be that all these engine are standardised in dimensions, so that i could say farewell to the yanclones and, for example, replace it by a Hatz 1B50?
