Fellow diesel enthusiasts. I have had for about 5/6 years now a Fuji Robin engined Matchless by Ernie Dorsett. The bike appears in the article on the site about his machines, (the red one).
Its been a good one until a fateful day recently when the conrod decided to go sideways rather than up and down. Not yet stripped to discover the cause but I suspect the list of parts needing replacement will merit a replacement engine. Fuji Robin (Redbreast) will sell a complete engine but its not cheap and comes with a lot of ancillaries I do not need. Can anyone point in the direction of a DY42 410cc engine to help get me mobile again. The bike is used almost daily and was on its way from Scotland to Southampton when it died. I do love it and the temporary MZ is just not the same.
