MZ Yanmar conversion

Post by SeaKayaker »

Just found and joined the forum.
I saw the picture of the MZ TS 250 with (Chinese) Yanmar fitted. I have an old MZ sitting in my garage, so am very tempted to us it for my first Diesel conversion. From the picture (http://www.dieselbike.net/mz.htm) , I can't make out what transmission was used. Has anyone seen this MZ and or got any other pictures of it? It would be very interesting to know more...
Many thanks, SeaKayaker

Hi there

You can see pics on my website of this bike. It is the original MZ gearbox that is used. It is placed where the air filter used to be. Primary drive up to the gear box on the left side, and a chain drive down to the original end drive on the right side.
