186F - need some technical assistance - oil leak

Post by MaskedNude »

Hi

I will try to best explain the problem with limited (english) terminology.

My 186f motor leaks oil. It looks like its coming out from where the throttle assembly is.

From searching online it would appear to be called the plunger / barrel assembly? There is a oil seal (part# 114770-61600) and a thrust washer. How do I replace this seal? Is it done from the inside (Need to open the motor?) or outside? Can I attempt it myself? And can an online retailer be recommended that will ship internationally (I'm in South Africa)

I greatly appreciate any assistance.

Thanks
Jak

You mean it leaks where the governer arm is mounted in the engine? (can you make a pic to be sure?)
