I have a nylon mesh filter on my bike and recently went to swap it out for a kubota style filter head and cartridge.
When I went to swap it the new filter head pissed out diesel so I had to put the old back on.
After I had it running for a bit back using the old filter the bike just died going down the road.
Upon closer inspection the nylon mesh filter was allowing a fair bit of crap through. The jigging about must have disturbed the crud in the lines and allowed it to be sucked into the pump.
Ho hum, I spent ages trying to find an official kubota filter head but couldn't find an for less than £80 so I have bough a set of 5 large inline fabric filters!
New pump on the way so fingers crossed
