Yeahbut all the new ones are unit construction anyway.

To me they should go back to basic bikes at basic prices if they want to sell. The current prices are not competitive when you consider what you can get from other makes.
Let the owners decide what they want to do regarding mods and just supply basic models.

Went to the Stafford bike show today, and saw new Enfields on show. So I went and had a word with the guys on the stand. As from now the importers are MOTOGB tel 01257485222. The guys on the stand were the owners and seemed OK. I asked if the factory was still making the old bike pre unit, they said no but they were still makeing all the parts as there are thousands still riding around in India. They also said India was haveing a petrol crisis at the moment and fuel was around £5 a litre equivalent in real terms when you consider the wages and Enfield production was being steped up. There seems to be 5 models but they are all the same spec apart from single seat or dual seat.
