I'm new to this forum and so far the information has been very informing.
I live in the states and I'm looking for a cheap 700cc to 850cc motor for a trike project, whos would be best and cheapest?
Thanks

Ebay is always an option but watch out for resale junk. You could also try Craigslist?
personally think that any industrial duty diesel would suffice in a low duty cycle project like a motorcycle. Just make sure you find one that has parts and service support. Yanmar, Isuzu, Kubota, Deutz, Perkins, Diahatsu, or any of the Chinese clones would make a great powerplant choice.
Thanks guys for the welcome and for the information.

I wasn't sure if the Kubota's where good enough, I'll have to keep me eye's open. Any clue what size engine I should look for? The trike was going to use a Honda 1979 650 engine, I was going to bore out the cylinder to 25% oversize but then the diesel idea came into play when a freind show me how he was making biodiesel for he BMW (car).
My daily commute is 150 round trip and if I could get 50 or 75 mpg and use boidiesel, I'd be happy.
THanks
