Rememberance Sunday - Duxford

Post by Diesel Dave »

On Rememberance Sunday the Imperial War Museum at Duxford opens it's doors to visitors with free entry.

Traditionally we have a ride and gathering of bikes starting from the Halfway House pub (on the A128 exit from the A127 heading towards Southend, postcode CM13 3LL) to the Imperial War Museum - Duxford.

Diesel bikes welcome.

It's about 50 miles so the total will be 100 plus however many it takes to get you to the Halfway house (for those based in London the start is just outside the M25 - head out into Essex on the A12/A127).

We shall be departing at 8:30 sharp, picking up others at Ongar before taking a rural route to Duxford - no motorways. We shall need to maintain 'steady progress' to arrive before the 11:00 2 minutes silence.

Please remember your poppy for the occasion. (and one for the bike)

Be warned the cafe gets very busy and it would be wise to pack a flask and a snack.
