STORMCOAT

Post by stormcoat »

I am "STORMCOAT". I live in Clacton on Sea, near Harwich and Colchester in north east Essex, England. I have a (too) long standing project, which is very close to completion. I do not have many opportunities for tinkering with if, but I hope to spend a few evenings on it after Christmas.
This contribution to the oil burning two wheeled fraternity consists of a stretched Dnepr MT11 containing an obsolete Petter twin cylinder engine, married up to a Dnepr clutch and gearbox.
Due to an annoying error I made when welding up the frame, the engine and gearbox sit too far back, so that I cannot fit the cardan shaft. I shall need to remove the engine and alter the mountings a little before I replace it all. There is only 16mm in it, so it should not take too long.
More details to follow.

Greetings Stormcoat - good luck with your project.

Essex seems to be fast becoming the dieselbike capital of the UK!

Welcome to the forum mate.

We do have a monthly brekkie at Southend on the last Sunday of each month, it's essentially a Bulletmaniac's event but there have been many occasions when no Bullets have been in attendance and bikes ranged from my diesel Tiger to Cooksters Dozyville.

We meet up on the seafront central reservation at 10:00 so please feel free to drop by.

Cheers
Dave
