Hi Sean White here form Canada. After several attemps to get on the list I finally got it right . I have been lurking on the site for about 18 months now and completed two bikes with my high school students last year. Stuart was kind enough to post the bikes on the site under school projects for us. A little background on myself. I'm an Aircraft Maintence Engineer by trade and worked full time up until 1994 in this industry. At this time I was tired of the airline rollercoster and went back to university and trained as a technology teacher. Over the years I have completed three aircraft with my students and complete five on my own for customers. The pinical of my building was winning Champion Seaplane at the Oshkosh 2005 show. I still fool around with aircraft a little but was looking for a new hobbie and here I am. Currently My friend and I have purcased two 1975 CB500T rolling frames frome the salvage yard which we are converting to full customs. We have three 20hp Punsun's on their way direct from China which will be put into full custom frames we will retain the neck forks and wheels so we can register them as Honda's keeps the goverment off our back as we are only modifying the original bike . The folks at Punsun have told us that the starters are of new design which should prevent them Burning out. I will do regular updates as we progress with this years projects.

Welcome to the forum, Sean. I wish you all well with your new project bikes and hope the engines prove to be ok for you. I shall pass on the info regarding the starter motor as I know someone who had one fail.

Thanks Stuart. I have done three prototype engine design/installs and completed the test flying for a major kitplane manufacturer. I'm kind of used to the shinny new engine not doing what it should. I have read of the failures and my plan is to turn the max fuel stop down to reduce HP to about 15hp then slowly increase with the hope we don't leave the insides of the engine on the road. But time will tell but what the hell its all fun
