Whisker's Punsen Woes

Post by Stuart »

I had Whisker's on the blower today. He isn't too impressed with his Punsen having broken down on the return leg from the Big Knock this year. Remember he barely made it after having to replace his front wheel bearings as they colapsed on him as he rolled out from his house. For the moment he's busy replacing gaskets on his leaking lump having clocked up quite a few miles on it. Anyway, he's gonna try and make the Bulldog Bash on it and is praying it will get him there otherwise.....

His new project is shaping up too. His mate Russ (of the HA) is donatings some old scaffold poles which will be the basis of a hardtail frame. This will eventually carry a 2.3 litre Merc Diesel engine 8) Cool :!:

I hope there will be a build blog of the 2.3 monster.

Whiskers informs me that he is not into technology but that he will endeavour to record the build with his camera. He's now dropped the idea of using scaffold poles for a frame!

I think that is a wise decision. My lord, the bike would end up weighing over 400kgs.

They only came into consideration because they were free. And that's what it's about I think, making the best of stuff we have to hand. I'll post any news I get on the build. Whiskers will be running his Punsen Harley up the drag strip at the Bulldog Bash he says :D

Here in the states the basic home builder type scaffolding is powder-coated and not galvanized
