Classic Motorcycle Mechanics Magazine

Post by IgorVigor »

Do any of you ever read the Classic Motorcycle Mechanics magazine?

I grab the occasional issue :)

Well I just bought the May 2010 issue.

Was looking through it, and found the Show Us Your Bike section.

There is a Kawasaki Z400 fitted with a Triumph Bonneville fuel tank, sporting a rather nice Kubota Z482 diesel engine :O
Owner is Michael Byrne, from Burnley, Lancashire.

Apparently it does 130mpg and over 70mph :)

Does anyone know him? (Is he a member?)
I cant remember hearing about the bike on this forum though :S

EDIT:
Found the specs on the Kubota Z482 engine:
479cc, twin cylinder
Water cooled
weighs 117lb (53kg)
13.3hp @ 3600 (intermittent)

This calls for some scans of the article :D
