Hi,

I like to introduce myself as a member of this forum. This week a placed an order for a Track T-800CDI E1 Black edition at EVA, Valkenburg, the Netherlands. Since I use my bike all the time (I don't have a car) I'm very interested in a reliable easy to ride bike. My current bike is a BMW R 1200 GSA which has almost everything I wish. The CVT of the Track is something new to me, but after two test rides I'm convinced I going to like it a lot. With my BMW I also ride low in rev's and try to avoid shifting gears. The Diesel engine is a great power source. It runs quite smooth (as a farmer family member I know how a Diesel can run rougher as well  ) and has a nice sound. The only bad thing is the predicted delivery time of about six months. But I understand the EVA team has to start up series production at that will take some time. Here are some pictures of my test ride on one of the pre-production models:

The handling of the Track is equal of better than my BMW. This probably says more about my riding than the capabilities of the BMW

Hi coachgeo,

I'm quite new to the offroad riding experience. Last November I did a day trip on sand roads. I liked it so much that I did an offroad training in Morocco this year. This was a five day trip in Morocco and one day in Spain as well. I want to ride more offroad with my GS now and with the Track I want to repeat the Morocco training next year. This year we went the first week of March and did parts of the Tuareg rally tracks. We had to do a lot of tarmac as well in order to get to the hotel in time as we traveled form one hotel to another. Next year will probably concentrated around one hotel so we can ride offroad more. Unfortunately offroad riding in the Netherlands is difficult because most roads have been paved of closed for motorized traffic  But with some local knowledge the roads that are left open can be found. Sometimes a construction site can be used also.

Greetings, Tom.

Hi Tom - welcome to the forum

I share the same enthusiasm for off road riding "although I haven't done a great deal of this on the Enfield  " but have a few dirt bikes to do this kind of riding.

I've heard a lot of good stories of the GS BMW's, was thinking of putting it on my M/C wish-list but purchased a Honda XR650R instead.

I'm sure you'll have heaps of fun on the Track T-800CDI E1, sure would like one parked in my garage :) but cannot have everything ..... loll  .

Be sure to let us know how you like it when you take purchase of your ordered bike.

A ;)

Hi,

mine is delivered today. Due to new regulations for extra luxury taxes the license plate is not ready yet. Hopefully it will be this week.

No exact number available but mine is probably the 25th on the road in the Netherlands. Two are in Germany.

Tom, this is great news :D I wish you well with your new motorcycle :!: You will go down as being one of the very first to ride this kind of modern motorcycle and I hope it inspires others to do as you have done.

Hi,

you probably think the Netherlands are flat and muddy. Thats correct. But sometimes we make new roads and then we use A LOT of sand to get a stable base. Last weekend I went to play on such a new road construction site:
