Diesel Engines

Post by Byrdman »

I have a small assortment of diesel engines that need new homes. I was going to save them for other uses but because of their small size, they would be perfect for diesel motorcycle projects.

I have several Yanmar, two and three cylinder, liquid-cooled engines and a few Robin single cylinder air-cooled engines.

I'll compile a list here in the next week or so and will offer them to you guys first.

Do you have anything in the 6hp range?

Thanks,

Hi Rick,

Were you at the motorcycle swap meet at the Lansing Center today? I thought about going, but the snow kinda changed my mind. Besides, I don't have any extra money to buy anything more right now anyway. :( I've been lurking on this board for a while and hope to build my own diesel bike in the future, but it's going to be a while yet (have TWO diesel Jeeps to finish, in addition to many other things).

Hi Don,

I have a couple of aircooled, Robin single cylinder engines and a few liquid cooled inline two and three cylinder Yanmars.

The Robins are all brand new. A few of the Yanmars are new and I have several nearly new, spec change engines. They were new engines that were modified to meet a particular customers specifications. They're new but they have been run on the dyno for under a half-hour after the changes to ensure performance.

It's still on my list to get an accurate count and some pictures taken.

I'd be interested if the price is right.
we do what we do because of who we are. if we did otherwise, we would not be ourselves.

I would also be interested.
Mostly on the Yanmar engines but would probebly have an application for any one of them.

I'm sorry guys, I stll have to get the full list together. Life has been hectic and I haven't had a chance to get up to my parent's place to compile the list

I promise you, they are all brand new and are in geat shape. Also, the prices will be very reasonable as I want to get them to people who will use them for a "Cool" project like a diesel motorcycle.

jeff,

are you still getting this list together? Not trying to rush you (I am burried in troubles and projects myself at the moment), but I wanted to see if I had missed out or not on the engines you wanted to sell. I am looking for somehting to put in my guzzi loop frame or possibly in an 85 honda XL350R. or possibly some bike that I don't have yet...

best,

jon

If you go up, give me a yell. We keep our boat on Lake Eufaula, so you're not far past there; in fact, we bought our Astro conversion van from a guy in Opelika LOL

The two air-cooled Robin engines have been listed in the Classified Section.

The six liquid-cooled Yanmar engines will be listed next week.
