PETTER SINGLE CYLINDER DIESEL ON EBAY CHEAP

Post by stormcoat »

Dear members,

I have put an advert on ebay for my Petter AC1 6hp single cylinder anti clock wise rotation engine. Suitability for bike use must be for the judgement of the bidder, but others have fitted them in the past (see Dieselbike archives). I cannot vouch for the condition of the engine, but spares are still available and it will be cheap. Just don't expect to win any races with it!
To equip this engine for variable speed operation only requires parts which are fitted externally. Speeder springs (governor springs) are available for 3600 rpm, at which 7.5 hp is said to be produced.

Best wishes to all,

Stormcoat.

'92 Enfield + Hatz 1B40: street legal, weld up stainless exhaust, check engine rpm and change final drive sprocket.

Would be tempted if it wasnt so far...

I just bought a Lister LT1 (rated between 2.25 and 9hp roughly) depending on governer...
She is a clockwise (at flywheel) fixed speed. The LV1 though was a variable speed version so might source some parts if I can get it to run...

Good luck with the auction though...
They are good strong little (ish :P) engines...
