Hi Mate

It might be tricky to measure some of the dimensions you are requesting with the cradle mounted on the bike with any degree of accuracy. Leave it with me and I'll see what I can do, I never measured it up whilst unbolted from the bike. Charles Altmann from riding on salad oil has/had a pdf of the cradle and backing plate dimensions which was really close to the dimensions I used. If you want to run the electric start the front of the cradle needs to be completely different.

E = 135mm
G = 250mm
H = 100mm

Hi Thanks for the Reply and information i am not using the electric start, the real fun is starting a bullet with a kick :D
If possible i would really like to know the Dimension A, B as i dont have frame yet but i want to keep working on the mount as one of my buddy is happy to help me out around these days and he needs that dimensions to part the front holder correctly.
Yes Charles has also provided alot of help and those pdf helped a lot, so now only piece of puzzle is A, B dimensions, you can give me approx measurement and i will have it made a little longer then grind them off as required

Thanks again for your help, i really appreciate it

Here are the measurements within approx +/- 2mm - I would make the base a little longer and bring the uprights up at a lesser angle as it's a tight squeeze fitting the engine in (I have to remove the front dipstick).

A= 87mm
B= 100mm
C= 235mm
D= 205mm
E= 135mm
F= 350mm
G= 250mm
H = 100mm

Hi, I stronly advise to strengthen the lower part of the greabox plate. This is a relative weak point which has to cope with a lot of strain. Mine broke (at 40K)just at the line of the 2 lower bolts connecting it to the gearbox.
I duplicated the 2 lower brackets/plates which are located under the gearbox in such a way, the are welded to the hind-side of the gearbox plate, making it stiff and avoiding mobulity with the forementioned linde as turnpoint.
Also, this way the torque and- maybe underestimated-vibration is transferred to the rear part of the enfield frame/
The front end of your design seems sturdy, but keep in mind that(here i go again) originally, the enfield engine is a part of the frame bearing construction, making it a stiff triangle.
