Hi guys has anyone seen this article about this bike;
http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m ... i_n8681022
I am looking into the possibility of using a hydraulic pump with a hydraulic motor/gearbox in my Goldwing.
The article states he is getting over 70 mph out of his Hog with a two speed box.
I wondered if hydrostatic is the american word for hydraulic
What do you think?

The dictionary states it as "Fluids that are not in motion, Hydro-static" but I think the word has been commonly misused, hydro is a word for water. Is it static as it shunts up and down a tube?
Seems over complicated to me, and only two gears, 25hp should get the bike faster than 70mph. Interesting though.

Hi Alan. Jeff's bike is featured on this site. If you really want to find out more about it I would reccomend you visit the Hydrostatic Hogs website and purchase a dvd which details it's workings. I have a copy and it is very well put together and well worth having.
