Yanmar Powered Bike From Estonia

Post by pietenpol2002 »

Several chaps having a delightful time with a 650cc Yanmar liberated from a truck refrigeration unit stuffed into what - Ural? Dnepr? They do seem to be enjoying themselves. And be certain to turn up the sound.

Sorry, I failed to do justice to this bike by omitting the pic of it in it's finished form.

It looks good, I think we all need to post goodwill to all Diesel bikers on youtube.

Making me want to get my Dnepr up and running soon, again, till I change my mind again and again,
and just think, they call being bipolar a dissorder! or maybe

That bike is truly one of a kind, i love the custom steel bellhousing...And, Is that a BMW tranny, i think i recognise.

Cool, on the last pic, i see the tall skinny radiator... My cousin had either a late '80's KX125 or 250 (can't remember), but it had a single sided radiator that as very tall like that one. Has anyone got in contact with this guy?

It's a Dnepr, please note the zero oil pan clearance with the ground, one bump, crack, back to the drawing board!

Great bike :D Looks very robust in it's build. Yeah, would be good if we had all the details wouldn't it :D

Yeah, interesting looking bike, bet it pulls like nothing else. Agree regarding the sump, a few mods needed if you want to drive into an area with speed humps etc  . Good build all the same, definitely has the days of yesteryear looks.

It's great to see so many having a go at there builds, using personal hands on knowledge producing a one of a kind motorcycle.

Forgot to say it also sounds great :D Reminds me of my bike :D That's a big factor in winning doubters over i've found. This factor should rate more highly than it does when folks contemplate picking an engine for a build 8) Deep rumbling engines turn heads 8)
