LQQK, Stihl Diesels, even neater than a JLO?

Post by LocomotiveBreath »

I found another neat diesel!

While researching about the JLO engines, I found these. I decided to post these on seperate threads. A 2 stroke with a single valve in head?

A Stihl Diesel, I like different and rare. Maybe even more common, then there are Sachs Diesels and Fichtel & Sachs, Look at these Diesels! From what I'm seeing in power, these engines might rock and roll. But fuel consumption?

I bet trying to find one of these engines would be fun - though I agree that the idea of a small 2 stroke diesel is fantastic and perfect for a bike.

I like this http://people.bath.ac.uk/ccsshb/12cyl/ but am thinking the Enfield frame might need some pretty serious modifications to accommodate...

Interesting to view these old engines, always wondered if a scaled down version could be built. I guess with a well tooled machine shop anything is possible hey! ;)

Would be nice to have a 2-stroke diesel with the displacement of 400-500cc, you should get around 20hp, just right for a bike.

A ;)
