All,

I've just completed installation of RSS on the forums.

So what the heck is RSS I hear you ask? Well its a thing that lets you get all the updates from a website (the forum in this case) delivered to a small application that runs on your computer called a "newsreader" automagically. The BBC has a good explanation here -

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/help/3223484.stm

Admitedly I've put this on primarily because I think RSS is great and use it myself for a number of sites, but hopefully it will be of use to everyone. If you have queries setting this feature up then please drop me a PM. Method of subscribing to a feed varies depending on which browser/newsreader etc you use but I'll try to help.

Also you may have noticed that the forums were down on Saturday. Apparently this was due to power failure at the datacentre of the web host we are on. I'll keep an eye on this in future although if you notice the site down sometime then please PM me so we can monitor the situation and move hosts if necessary.

Finally, can't promise anything but if there are any other technical changes to the forums you'd like to see then post em in this thread and we'll have a look.

Your right, I don't know what it is.

But I will say thank you, and a big thank you to all the administrators, and to Stuart for making this forum even possible.

I know I post, but it's you guys that make this form possible, thanks again.

Cant say it better than sleepy head Locomotive Dave  Private joke but he did say it well.

As to PMing you if the site is down.... ahhhhh.... we can't PM you if the site is down.

Think you have a feature as admin to email everyone. Might be a good idea to do that so we all have your email address so we can let you know. Or at least a select few with your email address so they can message you.
