Sonke's bikes

Post by mgraeme »

Question:

Has anyone had a chance to either ride or measure the performance of Sonke's conversions such as The Gustav and the new light olive bike he made? I understand they have about a mix speed of about 90kmh/55mph. How are CVT designs of that time to ride? How reliable are they?

I had the pleasure in Hamm. The Gustav went ok but I've no data on the CVT. Sonke rode behind me on my motorcycle. We left the rally site and rode up the road a bit. Don't think I got up to the top speed if I remember correctly. It was my first real go on a CVT bike.
