Kubota 3 Cyl. 950cc and 1 cyl. Deutz 6 HP in US- Eastern MA.

Post by smokyjoe »

A friend of mine has a Kubota 950cc (22.5 - 25 HP) and some Deutz/Ruggerini 6HPs for sale.

He has a few of the Deutz engines, I think they're called an "eco 75" or something like that, don't know the model number offhand, but if anyone's interested I'll go out and look. They were used formerly in generators and have a real "throttle" as they had an electronic RPM control originally, the throttle would be a nice feature on a bike. I bought one of them from him and it is in excellent condition, runs really nice. I'm thinking that these little engines would be nice in a little lightweight bike, but I'm using mine in a small tractor. The Deutz engines are US $300

The Kubota looks to be in excellent condition, but I don't know the price. I have one like it (mine isn't even half as nice!) and it is a great little engine.

If interested send me a message and I'll e-mail you with more details.

These are located in Eastern Massachusetts, not far off Rt. 495

Thanks,
Brad

They're still available! He hasn't advertised anywhere that I know of.

What model is the Kubota?
The use of vegetable oils for engine fuels may seem insignificant today. But such oils may become in the course of time as important as petroleum and coal tar products of the present time.

The Kubota is a D950 (I think) it is the same as the one I have but much better condition. The manual for this engine is available for free on the web. I haven't seen it run but the seller is very trustworthy, I've bought 4 engines from him so far. If you're interested I'll contact him and get you both in touch with each other. He is located about 10 minutes from Rt. 495 near Plymouth, MA. I'll send you a PM with his info if you're still interested.

Thanks,
Brad
