UK Road Tax query

UK Road Tax query
My bike is taxed as an 841cc machine but the plate on the Ruggerini MD 191 engine says 851cc. I'm wondering if the last owner did this on purpose to get into a lower tax bracket? Does anyone know if I change the details to 851cc will I get clobbered for more wonga

You are in the high bracket either way. Although admitedly this is the NI site I think the rates are identical.

Hmm, looks like a genuine mistake then. I think I'd better get the details right for insurance purposes - I don't wanna give them any excuses

Hmmmm, 2 of my bikes have free road tax being pre-1972 manufacture.
The tiger and the 500 petrol both score maximum costs.
Sluggy has to be the ultimate credit crunch bike, 180mpg, free road tax, insurance for 65 quid and usually I get free parts from other Bullet riders making conversions of their bikes to cafe racers or trials bikes.
