Workshop Manual for Suntom 186F?

Post by schatz »

Hi All

First post here and it's a question. I'm trying to find out some information on behalf of my dad.

He's recently got a Suntompower SU186F which will be part of a Royal Enfield conversion. In fact I think it's in the Enfield already.

What he has asked me to find out is if there is a parts and repair / workshop manual for this engine. I've contacted Suntom but they say the only manual is the pamphlet that comes with it.

Apparently this suntom engine is a Chinese clone of a Japanese Yanmar engine, although I don't know the model number of the Yanmar version, maybe the Yanmar version has a suitable manual that could be used for this suntom one?

If anyone has any ideas or tips on finding a workshop manual please let me know.

Cheers!

Matt

hi, there is a pdf on a yahoo dieselmotorcyles group ,here is the link.
http/autos.group.yahoo.com/group/dieselmotorcycles/files/
if that doesn,t work use the link on this sites home page the group you need is called 'DIESELMOTORCLES' once on there go to the files section & look for 'yanmar LA series service manual pdf .
If you are looking for parts for a Suntom engine try
DIRECT EQUIPMENT SALES , UNIT 15 , BIDAVON INDUSTRIAL ESTATE,
BIDFORD ON AVON , WARWICKSHIRE ,B50 4JN
TEL: 01789 490222
they have a shop on ebay called 'The Discount Generator Store '

There is a full set of Yanmar manuals here, which may be helpful: http://dawinfo.com/

For reference, the electric start model you want is a L100 AE-DE.
