The page is entitled Shaking Forces of Twin Engines by Vittore Cossalter. I guess the same forces are present in similarly configured diesels?
In the following examples, the blue arrow represents the first inertia force and the red one the second inertia force

Hi Avery
I always wanted to get my hands on a good Paris/Dakar replica 2cyl BMW, but always lost out
Everyone said how good they were for touring and more importantly hitting the national forest etc
Who knows, might see BMW develop a 2 cyl diesel there was talk of someone trying to convert a BMW boxer twin - don't know how they went - maybe Stuart might know some more.
How good woud that be - reasonable power and economy to match with a proven bike.
I'm sold
