Hi. I'm new here and thought I might have to present myself.
I'm heading into the golden forties and living in southern Norway.
I'm an engineer by profession and have mostly been working with a wide range of measurement technology.
For some five years now I have been making my own FAME from VWO and by now partly run two Mitsubishi Expos, two tractors and one M35 style military truck on this stuff.
While browsing the internet i found that someone had produced a diesel bike (Enfield) and even found an ad here in Norway of a bike for sale.
Promtply bought it as for "research purposes", I told my wife
But the Greaves powered Enfield is a disaster when it comes to practical use, especially highway use is a nightmare So I bought a little turbo for the Greaves , but lack of information about others experience about fitting a turbo to a single cylinder diesel and lack of lubrication (need some pressurized oil) made me ditch the turbo for the time being I then bought a new engine (Yanclone 406 ccm) that I figure to mount sometime during winter
I then came upon the issue about variable timing for these actual generator engines in some other posts and got interrested in doing the modification to the plunger. I've checked several chinese sites that sell these pumps (M117 for the 186F) but they haven't really got that good webshops yet. No deal so far...
So the is : Where else can I get these pumps? ten pieces should be enough for trying out several plunger modifications....

Hi Tortilladiesel
Welcome to the forum ! I'm in the same vote - unable to source a variable pump, still using the fixed timing pump, although for me its working fine as the bike is ridden on high speed highways most the time so timing is set accordingly and starting etc is still OK.
Variable timing would be nice to have though. The Turbo issue on a single causes problems due to exhaust gas pulsing, much better to run a blower on singles.
Stuarts website features an Enfield with a blower if your interested in a look-see.
The Yanclones run high compression around 20:1, so running boost would mean some modifications to the injection system also.
Cheers
Andrew
