british aid needed for a yank if you can...

Post by roverthetop »

seems i am need of a classic british motorcycle. a mate of mine wants to restore an older brit bike- not going diesel, keeping it petrol. any of you on that side of the pond have any lines on restorable older brit bikes i'd like to hear from. we will of course pay for everything, it just seems like it may be easier than finding one here in the states. perhaps even a trade for a diesel build of mine? i have imported and exported to/ from US/ UK, so no worries on that. appreciate any input or help.

I know that Andy over at http://www.britsandpieces.net/ has a few bikes in his workshop. He may well have something to offer. Probably be better to call him rather than use the net. He's more an old time mechanic that a computer man.

You might want to look here at the Triumph website. several of the posters have machines in various states of repair for sale. It will be a whole bunch easier and cheaper for you to buy stateside. The good thing about restoring an old Triumph is virtually all the parts are easily available.
