Inroduction

Post by Adge »

Hi Guys. I'm the newest member here for the time being at least and nettiquette demands and introduction on these site so here goes. I have been a long standing diesal fan (since the early 90's) but my last diesel car was a Skoda Felicia that I got rid of 3 years ago as it was unrelailble. I have often thought about fitting a diesel engine to a bike ( have been riding bikes for 30+ years now) but have never had the time or the necessary skills. I'm totally amazed by the content of this site, and was unlucky not to have been able to attend this years rally, as its in my backyard, so to speak. I currently am riding an 07 Harley Sportster and am rebuilding a 93 model, both petrol powered at the moment. Will try to log on as often as possible, no doubt I'll be asking a few stupid questions, but you have to start somewhere! Thanks.

Hi Adge

Welcome to the forum and for posting up a little bit about yourself. Yes everything starts off with an idea, never say never and like you said, ask questions. The chaps here are a great bunch of guy's and they help each other out exceptionally well.

I was the same, had an idea about doing it, researched what I had to do and added up the costs etc, then purchased the bike and done it.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Cheers

Andrew :)

Keep us up to date with your ideas and project.

Thanks for the replies chaps. Not sure if I've got the necessary 'cojones' to fit a diesel to the 93; I was thinking more of coverting an older cheaper bike! :D
