Adding a turbo to a kubuto D600

Post by Webn237 »

I was directed to come and ask you guys about adding a turbo to my kubota D600.

I recently put a 3 cylinder kubota diesel (D600) into my golf cart and I am almost done with the install. Im at the spot where itd be best to add a turbo and exhaust and wondering if this turbo would be to big for the motor?

Might just be my computer, but I'm not able to open that link. Can you give us another option? Those electrons might be struggling to pass through the cheddar curtain there at the Illinois border.

I have just added a VZ21 (china clone or RHF3 series turbo) to my D622.

The K03 you have linked will be too big to make any boost, the VZ21 really is too big as well, I think the best turbo for the small engine is a TD05 or GT12v, ideally a GT06 but they are quite pricy. A Smart 800 CDI turbo would be good as well (KP31) but it has an integrated manifold, so you would have to fabricate and weld on an adapter plate.

The VZ21 does make boost on mine, only about 5psi @3900 RPM. All idea of fuel economy goes out of the windows as well, as we have no boost compensation on the pump, so lots of smoke when off boost.
